1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Data
(1) How We Collect Your Personal Data
We may collect your personal data when you use our products or services or interact with us. In some cases, you can choose not to provide such data, but this may prevent us from providing you with corresponding products or services, or may mean that we cannot respond to or resolve any issues you have raised.
We will collect and use your personal data only for the purposes described in this Policy. The following are some examples of personal data we may collect:
Account Information. When you create a Flashforge account, we may ask you to provide relevant personal data, including user name/phone number, email address, password, or other relevant information used for account security settings. You can choose to provide additional information on your personal information page, such as gender, birthday, occupation information, and other details. When you register/log in using third-party accounts, we will obtain publicly available information, including avatars and profile names, as well as other information you authorize from these third-party accounts. If you choose to sign in using a third-party account (e.g., Google/Gmail, Apple ID, Facebook, or other supported platforms), we may receive certain profile information such as a unique user identifier, display name/nickname, email address, and profile photo/avatar, and we use this to create/authenticate your account and provide login functionality.
Third‑Party Account Connection, Credential Storage, and Cross‑Platform Sync. If you choose to connect a third‑party account (such as Printables or other supported third‑party platforms) to our services, we will process the information you provide (or authorize us to receive) to enable login and any cross‑platform features you request.
Device‑only credential storage. If you enable the "Save password / quick login" feature, we may store your third‑party account username and password locally on your device using OS‑provided secure storage (e.g., Keychain/Keystore) or comparable encrypted storage. We do not store your third‑party password on our servers. You can disable this feature and remove saved credentials at any time in settings or by disconnecting the third‑party account.
Action syncing. If you connect a third‑party account and enable sync features, you authorize us to perform certain actions on your behalf on the third‑party service (for example, to "like" or "favorite/collect" an item on the third‑party service when you like/favorite that same item within our app). We will only perform actions that you explicitly enable, and you may turn off syncing at any time.
Third‑party terms and limitations. Your use of third‑party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. Third‑party services may restrict automated access or credential‑based integrations; if a third‑party blocks access, the feature may not work. Saving credentials may increase risk if your device is compromised; we recommend enabling device passcodes/biometrics and not using this feature on shared devices.
Search, Recommendation, Community Interactions, and Model Publishing Data. When you use our model search and recommendation features and community functions, we may collect and process the following:
Third-party login data: user ID, nickname/display name, and avatar (e.g., if you sign in via Google/Gmail, Apple ID or Facebook).
Recommendation interaction data: records of your interactions with models (e.g., clicks, views/browsing, favorites/collections, likes, follows, shares, downloads, and printing records), and preference settings you voluntarily input (e.g., preferred model categories).
Search data: search keywords and search history, and actions taken during search (e.g., clicks, favorites).
Community interaction data: model browsing, comments, replies, follows, likes, and favorites.

When you upload your photos, videos, or other files while using Flashforge products and services, we may collect and store such content, including EXIF data related to photos or videos. If such content contains third-party information, you should obtain any necessary or appropriate consent from third parties and inform them of this Policy before uploading such content to Flashforge.
3D Model Files and/or Related Print Information
In any case, we generally will not interpret, analyze, or process your 3D model files without your consent, and third parties do not have the right to access or process your 3D models. If you choose to upload/publish a model or enable certain advanced features (for example, content-based model search, similarity detection, or auto-tagging), we may process model-related information to improve search relevance and recommendations. Where available, you can control these features through settings.
When you complete model slicing on FlashCloud/FlashSlicer and initiate print jobs through the cloud, we will forward the configuration corresponding to your print jobs and GX/G-code files (excluding 3D mesh information; collectively referred to as "3D Model Files") to the printer for successful print initiation and display of relevant 3D model file print information on each device. With the Incognito Printing function turned off by default, we will additionally store information such as print completion time and filament consumption besides storing your 3D Model Files (collectively referred to as "Related Print Information") for you to later browse your print history. You may choose to enable the Incognito Printing function, and we will then no longer store your 3D Model Files and/or Related Print Information.
We will strictly use your 3D Model Files and/or Related Print Information for the purposes described in this Section. If we need to use your information for purposes other than those described in this Section, we will seek your consent in advance.

If you are dissatisfied, you can also lodge a complaint or report to regulatory authorities such as the Cyberspace Administration, Telecommunications Administration, Public Security Bureau, and Industry and Commerce Bureau.
For your reasonable requests, we generally do not charge a fee. However, for multiple repetitive requests or requests beyond reasonable limits, we may charge a certain cost. Requests that are repeatedly made without a valid reason, require excessive technical means (e.g., requiring the development of a new system or fundamentally changing current practices), pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are highly impractical (e.g., involving information stored on backup tapes) may be refused.
In the following circumstances, as required by laws and regulations, we will be unable to respond to your requests:
Directly related to national security or national defense;
Directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;
Directly related to criminal investigations, prosecutions, trials, or enforcement of judgments and the like;
There is sufficient evidence to show subjective malice or abuse of rights on your part;
Responding to your request would result in serious harm to your or other individuals' legitimate rights and interests.
Necessary for protecting the life, property, or major lawful rights and interests of you or other individuals, while it is very difficult to obtain the individual's consent;
Involving trade secrets;
Related to our fulfillment of legal obligations specified by laws and regulations.
7. How We Process the Personal Data of Minors
We consider it the responsibility of parents or other guardians to supervise the use of Flashforge Products and Services by minors. For purposes of U.S. law, a "child" generally refers to a person under 13 years of age. Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as practicable. We may apply a higher age threshold for certain jurisdictions as required by local law.
If we find that we have collected children's personal data without obtaining the prior consent from authenticated parents or other guardians, we will manage to delete the data as soon as possible. If you believe we might have collected personal data from a child under the age limit, contact us at support@flashforge.com. This ensures that such personal data is promptly deleted, and the subscription of the minor to any applicable Flashforge services is canceled.
8. How Your Personal Data Is Transferred Globally
Personal data collected and generated during our operations in the People's Republic of China will be stored in China, except cross-border transfer of specific products/services under applicable laws. If you access Flashforge Products and Services from the United States or other regions outside of China, please note that your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions where our servers and service providers are located, including China, and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
9. Data Retention
(1) General Circumstances
Under normal circumstances, we will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, unless a longer retention period is provided by laws and regulations. Upon expiration of such retention period, we will delete or anonymize your personal data.
(2) Special Agreement
Regarding your 3D Model Files and/or Related Print Information, storage will be based on the size limit of your personal cloud storage space. If the storage space is insufficient, new 3D model files and related print information cannot be stored in the cloud. If you have not enabled Incognito Printing, all records will be retained for 30 days. Beyond this range, you will be unable to manage new 3D Model Files and/or Related Print Information exceeding the storage space. Additionally, you will not be able to browse the print history or continue printing the corresponding 3D models.
10. Updates to This Policy
We regularly review this Policy due to business and technological changes, and updates may occur from time to time. If major changes are made to this Policy, we will notify you through in-app pop-ups on your mobile device, ensuring your awareness of information collection and usage practices.
Such changes take effect from the specified effective date in the notification or website. We recommend checking this page periodically for the latest information. Your continued use of Flashforge Products and Services will be deemed as acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If we collect more personal data from you or use/disclose your data for new purposes, we will seek your consent again.
