Summary
This is a small clip used to hold together two microscope slides and clip them together. It is 2 parts, the bottom and the top. What may not be obvious, at first, is that the top part hinge posts face upwards (the same direction they are printed).
When I just want to take a quick look at something and don't want to glue-mount it, I sandwich it between two slides. However, the slides move around if they are holding something not flat, like a part of a leaf.
Thus, the purpose of the clip.
I literally hinge the clip with a paper clip (as shown in the photo). I thought about integrating the hinge with a .1mm gap or something, but it would then have to be printed on its side which requires it to need supports (which I always try to avoid).
