Beyond making your surfaces look nicer, this can serve a functional purpose too, by breaking up tension in the lower layers to reduce warping on long thin parts.

To add this in Prusa Slicer, right click your model and select "Add negative volume > Load". You'll have to tinker with the scale and rotation a bit.

I have only tried this on the bottom layer, but it should work on other surfaces. Some manual clean-up is likely needed after printing for best results (images above are mostly raw, just a couple small burs clipped off).

NOTE: You may need to sink these negative volumes into the floor a tiny bit for them to slice correctly. Always inspect the sliced preview carefully before printing.

Update 1: Leaf pattern, https://pattern.monster/leaves-5 WARNING: very difficult to print as a bottom layer, unless scaled up a lot. Using a glue stick is a good idea.
