This CD Rack fits standard single jewel cases and similarly sized cardboard sleeves. There is a bonus set of bookends for incompatibly sized CD packaging.
The CD's are removed from the rack by pushing the spine upwards to free it from the bottom rail, from here the "sprongers" will eject it forward for handling.
Each section can hold 12 CD's and sections can be bolted together vertically and horizontally to add more storage space.
Printing
I've printed the racks with PLA but the "sprongers" (eject springs) are best printed with something more elastic like PETG. ABS or ASA would also be a good choice.
Assembly
Nuts and bolts are all 10mm x 3mm, 3/8" x 1/8" should work as well.
Pay attention to the orientation of the bases and tops, there is some text printed on the parts to help.

If you are going to stack the racks higher than a single row it is easiest to start by bolting the top and base sections together first so that you have good access to the vertical screws. The base of the upper row bolts to the top of the lower row.


Slide a nut into the slots of the top plate and put the bolts in the vertical holes of the base plate.
Now moving along horizontally to the next section insert the inner wall panels between the two top and base pairs and slide in the 10mm screw and insert a nut into the hex shaped hole and tighten.
Once you have the "spine" finished it's easy to bolt on the remaining bases, tops and end walls.

The last step is to insert the sprongers into the slots in the rear of the bases.

The Bookends
I couldn't think of a clean way to accommodate all of the odd size CD packaging that's out there, so there is a CD sized bookend that you can print a couple of to hold your odd sized CD's.
(The example in this pic is warped but the design uploaded has reinforcements to prevent this.)

Slice the Bookends with the base facing down and set a pause in the slicer at layer 57. You can fill the hollow base with anything weighty then continue the print to seal in the weights.
For weights I have used sand, lead shot and my favourite, rusty straight slotted wood screws!
