🖐 Seeed XIAO Dual-Button Handheld HID Case

This is a handheld dual-button HID device enclosure designed around the Seeed Studio XIAO SAMD21. Compact enough for portability, yet deliberately sized for comfort during handheld use. Whether you're toggling a mute button on stream, slamming a buy/sell macro for stock trading, or any number of other tasks where a hand-held minimalist input device would be handy. - just flash your preferred firmware.

• 2x Cherry MX-style mechanical switches
• 2x Resistors (~5kΩ; for pull-down or pull-up logic as required by firmware)
• 4x Wires (~100mm each; 2 for IO pins via resistors, 2 to GND)
• Optional: 4x JST-style female connector crimps – fit snugly onto Cherry MX switch pins for a basic hot-swap setup
• Soldering tools

⚠ Notes & Builder Tips:

• The enclosure is designed for direct wire soldering to the Seeed XIAO with minimal vertical clearance under the access panel.
  • Resistors can be soldered directly to the XIAO’s IO pins with signal wires attached and shrink-wrapped (as shown above) - this will just barely fit under the internal face of the access panel.
• Optional JST-style female crimps fit snugly on Cherry MX switch pins, making them a solid DIY hot-swap option for the buttons. - These do not interfere with internal clearance and work well in the body cavity.
• No glue is required. The XIAO is retained with a friction-fit shim tight enough to snap in, almost guaranteed to require needle-nose pliers for removal.
• The access panel can be optionally glued shut, depending on your preferences.
• All external surfaces are left blank for customization
