This is a holder/base for a Kensington VeriMark USB Fingerprint Reader and a UGreen USB 3.0 Extension cable. There is a "desktop" version of the VeriMark, but it's more than twice the price of the regular version at present ($75 vs $37; I paid about $30 for mine in 2020). I used to have it on the side of my laptop, but am now switching to a custom desktop build, so I decided I wanted it in a base on the desk instead of in the USB hub.
This is designed so the female connector of the USB extension goes in from the bottom and hits an internal shoulder and won't go any further, then the VeriMark is inserted from the top of the holder while keeping your finger over the underside of the slot to keep the USB connector from backing out. The fit with v1.1 should be snug enough that it holds everything securely but not so snug that it'll be impossible to disassemble. Probably would look better if I had printed it a little slower (about 80mm/s, not fully stock but also not coreXY), and if I hadn't gone crazy with the deburring tool.

I printed this at 0.2mm Layer Height, 0.6mm Layer Width, 0.6mm nozzle, 15% infill, 6 walls, and sliced with Cura 4.13.1 (5.1.1 is acting wonky for me). I got about 2hrs print time with 6 walls. I decided on the extra walls so it would be a little heavier; I figured more walls would be faster (and stronger) than higher infill percentage. I printed in PETG because it was conveniently on-hand and I didn't have to wait to dry it, but use whatever filament type you want. No supports or rafts necessary. Use rafts/brims at your own discretion.

The tolerances with my Ender 5 have been slightly out of whack (printing thicker/slight over extrusion) and I've been too lazy to troubleshoot the crap out of it. I adjusted my flow and think the hole tolerances will be fine, but if it's too tight,I increased the hole size by 0.02mm to compensate for printer tolerances (post-printing work sucks/I hate sanding and filing). Depending on how well your machine is tuned/calibrated, your mileage may vary. I'm leaving the original (v1.0) and placing the adjusted version (v1.1) at the front in the file order.
The weight is fine with the above print settings. Itdoes need some rubber feet or something for the bottom to keep it from sliding if you have it sitting on a slick surface and not a mouse pad.
