These Things create a simple linear slide lift mechanism. They are meant to be used with Misumi 1515 extduded aluminum to create a linear slide. You can print as many as you need for as many slide "stages" you need.

NOTE: These instructions are for building a complete, FOUR STAGE slide set. If you need more or fewer stages, adjust quantities accordingly.

Bill of Materials:

• 4x Misumi HFS3-1515 (Or similar. Openbeam or 80/20 probably works too) cut to the length you want
• 6x Side Plates (Printed)
• 3x Stage Topper (Printed)
• 30x M3 nuts
• 23x M3x10mm bolts
• 7x M3x20mm bolts
• 3x M3x8mm bolts
• 7x 623ZZ ball bearings
• 7x Pulleys (Printed)
• Fishing line

Assembly:

First, you need to install a nut into the center hole on half of your side plates. This screw hole is used to hold the pulley axle. The hole is designed to fit a M3 nut very tightly. Install these like this:

1. Put an M3 nut on the end of a longer M3 bolt. Right at the very end.
2. User a lighter to heat the the nut. Hot enough that it will melt the plastic you printed the plates with.
3. Push the nut squarely and evenly into the center hole of the plate. Try to push it far enough down that it is flush with the rest of the plate.
4. Let the assembly cool and then file down the 'ooze' so that it is flush and smooth.

Next, you should install two plates onto one of your bars of Misumi.

1. Put two nuts in the slot of two opposite sides of a bar.
2. Put one of the plates on the bar and line one of the holes up with one of the nuts.
3. Put a washer on one of your 10mm M3 bolts and screw it through the plate and into the nut.
4. Repeat these steps for the remaining nut on the plate. Do this on both sides of the Misumi bar.

Next, you need to install a Stage Topper. The flat portion of the stage topper should face away from the direction the plates stick out. (as shown in the render above)

1. Put two more M3 nuts on either side of the Misumi bar.
2. Screw an 10mm M3 bolt through the bottom hole on the side of the bar where your pulley will go and on both holes on the opposite side the same way you installed them for the plates

Now is a convenient time to go ahead and install the pulleys onto the stage.

1. Screw an M3 nut all the way to the head of a 20mm M3 bolt.
2. Place a pulley/bearing assembly onto the bolt.
3. Screw 2 M3 nuts onto the bolt, firmly sandwiching the pulley in place.
4. Screw the new bolt / pulley assembly into the remaining hole on the stage topper.

It is also convenient to pre-load the bolt which the stage topper uses to hole the next stage in line. For this, use a washer, an 8mm M3, and a M3 nut.

1. Put a washer on an 8mm M3 bolt and screw it through the hole at the top of the stage topper. It should be a slightly tight fit.
2. Loosely screw on a nut onto the bolt..
