What?
This is a simple replacement hook for my shower curtain. The original hooks need to bend in order to remove the curtain. This worked fine for a while, but now the hooks are old and tired, so they tend to break when bent.
Bendable
I designed these hooks so that they are relatively flexible, even when printed in PLA (the material I recommend for this model). Additionally, they retain the same basic shape as the original hooks, so that when they are printed in a similarly coloured plastic, they barely stand out.
Flexible
These hooks are designed for a shower curtain rod with a 20mm diameter. Any rod with a diameter of 20mm or less should thus work. The hooks simply bend open to fit over the rod, after which they can be fed through the holes in the shower curtain and closed. This makes them suitable for most kinds of shower curtains.
If you think they stand out too much from your original hooks, there is also a simple solution. The hooks use very little plastic, so you can easily replace all your curtain hooks without expending much filament.
Contest-related stuff
I'm entering this model for the Replacement Parts contest. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact model of shower curtain, but then: who does know their curtain model? But as long as it's a shower curtain with holes for hooks, and a not-too-large rod, they should work.
