These are pen holder desk plaques with inscriptions. Example fonts are taken from thing:13677 - More Fontz by polymaker. Here are four plaques using 16 different fonts. The openSCAD code is easily changed to display ones favorite messages.

The plaques are open at one end and can be used as containers for pens. There were some surprises; the fonts, as far as I can tell, are not uniform along the z axis. I found it necessary to use openSCAD's mirror command to ensure that the fonts were displayed with their best sides uppermost. If this is done one gets uniformly crisp characters for all 16 fonts.
