If you want to mount an openGrid by David D to an uneven wall, these wall spacers can be a neat way to get an even grid. The spacers sit hidden behind the grid, while still providing enough contact area to transfer the forces into the wall.
These are meant for grids with integrated screw holes of roughly 4 mm diameter (for a 3.5 mm screw), like tiles made with the Tile Generator by BlackjackDuck (default settings). In my setup I needed 1.0 mm to 4.5 mm spacers; within that range, all spacer sizes in 0.5 mm steps are included.
Duplicate the ones you need as often as you like. The ring should snap-fit into the hole—if it doesn’t stay in place, use something slightly sticky to hold it in the hole to make wall assembly easier. Before tightening the screw, make sure the orientation of the cross is correct.
I enabled the Arachne wall generator so the ring prints cleanly.
