This 1x4 Gridfinity print holds up to for craft knives (aka exacto knives) or other long thin items horizontally instead of upright. This helps guard you from accidentally brushing against the sharp bits while still leaving the knives easily grabbable.
The supports and endcaps are printed separately from the baseplate, then glued into the desired cutouts aftward. The tolerances are tight enough to allow the uprights to be press-fit into the baseplate, but I recommend gluing them in to keep everything secure.
The baseplate has cutouts for up to 8 supports, although in practice you can get away with only 2. The endcaps are optional but recommended, since preventing accidental contact with the blades is the main feature of the horizontal orientation. You also don't have to worry as much about balancing that way. Your knives may vary, however.
