I was spilling coffee powder while filling my espresso maker. Compressing the coffee with a normal spoon and filling the resulting space in the funnel with coffee again, wasn't a problem but a bit annoying. 

I designed a gadget, that makes it possible to put all the coffee into the funnel in an uncompressed state and compress it in one move afterwards.
