Design Concept
This part was developed as a compact, structurally optimized pyramid receiver cup for prosthetic modular systems. Its domed geometry combined with a central pyramid receptacle allows secure attachment to pyramid adapters, while the four surrounding holes provide stable fixation to the socket or mounting plate. The symmetrical design ensures easy alignment and functional integration in transtibial or transfemoral prosthetic builds.
The internal volume and surface transitions were carefully designed to reduce stress concentrations, ensuring both durability and comfort in load-bearing applications. The compact size makes it ideal for pediatric use or for adult patients requiring minimal distal profile.
Print Settings
Printer: Creality K1
Estimated Print Time: 3 hours
Layer Height: 0.10 mm
Infill: 20%
Material: PLA
Supports: Required only for undercuts around tab holes (10% density at 60°)
Adhesion: Brim used, no outer shell supports needed
These parameters optimize strength and detail while maintaining a quick and efficient print.
Assembly Instructions
Mount using 2.5 mm screw holes, spaced uniformly at the four corners.
Ensure secure fixation with 2 cm length screws.
The central pyramid receiver is designed to accept standard prosthetic pyramid adapters with 6 mm central bolt.
After attachment, insert into the designated prosthetic socket or distal interface to finalize the build.
