I constructed the frame shape by removing six rhombic prisms at different rotations matching the faces of the object. The frame prints reasonably well, but runs into some issues bridging the top edges.

You can try scaling this bigger or smaller. I printed a frame less than 11mm in height and it might work even smaller.
