This is a replacement shield for a Weed Eater 1212 electric string trimmer. This model was also sold under the Poulan, Craftsman, and several other brands in the 80's and 90's. It's a decent corded electric trimmer, and mostly made of glass-reinforced nylon, except for the shield which is ABS. Since parts are no longer available for it, I designed this (very quickly) rather than having to pay hundreds of dollars for a new one that won't last. I've had this trimmer for decades, and I expect it to last until the motor burns out, even if I have to print every single part!

Additional hardware required!

• 4x M5 40mm bolts with washers and nuts to mount this to the body of the tool
• 2x M5 10-15mm bolts with washers to attach the blade to this thing

I spaced the holes so that you can use the original blade if you have a big washer, or you can make a new one with a dremel from some scrap metal or something. Be careful if you decide to make a blade. Wear safety gear and all that. Or don't. I'm not your mother. Just don't be stupid.

I designed this using a set of calipers, some grid paper, and Tinkercad. I know there are more powerful tools, but I don't know how to use them and this is good enough.
