We have a set of stackable clear acrylic bottle racks that are not tall enough to store Nalgene 1-liter bottles or similarly wide items. This rack was originally intended for wine bottles and other, narrower cylindrical containers. I designed a cross sectional profile that matched the rails, and then made an
OpenSCAD model of extruded pieces that raise each stacked unit to accommodate 1
liter Nalgene bottles without a problem.
These stackable units are available under a few names. Ours is an “Mdesign” branded item. Their website is not functioning as of 2025, but it appears they have moved their storefront to Amazon. In the past, Target also carried these items. The item name on Amazon is “mDesign Stackable Plastic 3 Bottle Refrigerator Wine Rack - Kitchen Storage Organizer Holder for Storing Champagne, Wine, and Water Bottles - Stacking
Wine Bottle Organizer for Fridge - Clear”.

Other acrylic bottle racks will probably work, perhaps with some modifications, since some of them use a similar cross-section in their shelves and supports. For instance, the radius of curvature of the corner may need to be different. Alternately, it is possible to use only straight section supports.
