I wanted to house my Geeetech i3 printer in a friendly environment, and make it to look more like an installation rather than a pile of mechanical and electronic junk.

Another Filament Guide. I am only using 1.75mm filament and wanted a slick guide that could cover the ugly hole through the table top and bottom. Print two for a complete set.

Cable Gland. To route some cables through the lower table. I have mounted a powersupply and some other electronics under the table.

Resolution is not that important.

There is already a lot of good things constructed when putting a printer inside IKEA Lack tables. But i Lacked some things (hmmfpff). I made a new filament guide to put on each side of the table, both top and bottom. Since the material is very craptacluar it's good to have an edge or frame round the drilling on both top and bottom. Drill several holes with a 5mm drill, the slot is 50mm wide, tidy the slot with a sharp knife. Glue the guides with cyano glue.

For the cable glands use the same method, drill and clean with a sharp knife, make sure you clear the hole from cardboard.
