This is part of a project to create a fountain for balcony or indoors.

It is a housing for a small water pump which somewhat hides the blackness of the pump, dampens the vibrations and serves a plane top for other things (like a fountain) to build on top of it.

You may wonder why a tube is connected to the input of the pump and there are 2 reasons: 

• the box can serve as a housing for placement outside the water basin as well
• the filter net at the end of the intaking tube filters somewhat better than the supplied filter for the pump

Dirt inside the pump or clogging together at the intake is the #1 issue with the pump.

Dies ist eine kleine Kiste um eine noch kleinere Wasserpumpe (die bedauerlicherweise derzeit jedes mal teurer ist wenn ich hinschaue). Dies Gehäuse kaschiert die Schwärze der Pumpe, dämmt die Vibrationen und das vernehmliche Summen und spendiert dem Teil eine flache, horizontale Oberseite, um weitere Aufbauten (etwa einen Zimmerbrunnen) darauf aufsetzen zu können.

Vertikal wird das Wasser herausgedrückt, und zwar so stark, dass ich selbst für die kleinste Pumpleistung noch druckreduzierer in den Schlauch einsetzen musste, horizontal der Ansaugstutzen, der hier mit Schlauch herausgeführt ist, um 

• die Pumpe nicht als Tauchpumpe sondern extern einzusetzen und
• am Schlauchende ein feineres filternetz anzubringen

Mulm, Fasern, Pflanzenteile in der Pumpe oder als Schicht vor dem Filter sind die häufigste Fehlerquelle bei der Pumpe.

Das ist Teil eines Projektes, einen Zimmer- bzw Balkonbrunnen zu bauen.
