I created this handheld 3D scanner to make the 3D Sense easier to use. I am using an AOC 16in USB monitor. The bracket uses fits the monitor. I added 2 4in LED strips to light the thing i am scanning.

Parts
16in AOC USB Monitor (Amazon.com $90)
2x 4in white LED strips, automotive style. Use the battery box that makes the LEDs light up in the package or add a small 12 volt battery.

Small switch. or you could use a push button. $1
Shorten the wires to the LEDs to about 3 inches and and add the switch. I used double sided duct tape to attach the battery box and the switch.
Use a 1/4 by 20 screw to hold the scanner in place. Also use a velcro or 3M velcro strips to hold everything in place.
