Once I removed the old handle, I could see an M5 threaded rod with a few nuts I could not clear, so I adapted. The fix uses three parts easily glued with epoxy for a strong bond. 

I printed it with PETG. 

The one I installed, I printed with fuzzy skin for better grip.
