small spotlight made from a nine led flashlight. i am 15 so any design pointers are welcome. this was designed in freecad (http://www.freecadweb.org/)

supply's:
9 led flashlight (http://www.harborfreight.com/3-12-in-9-led-mini-flashlight-69052.html
hot glue gun
soldering iron
wire
5 volt power supply or usb cable
tape

step 1 pry the glass of the front of the flashlight and remove the led pcb

step 2 remove the rubber casing from the back of the flashlight and remove the button

step 3 solder the positive wire of your supply cable to the positive lead of one of the leds (the smaller piece of metal). then solder a short wire to one of the negative lead of one of the leds and then to one side of the switch

step 4 solder the negative wire on the supply cable to the other side of the switch

step 5 glue the switch in the case with hot glue

step 6 put some hot glue on the terminals of the switch to prevent it from shorting out

step 7 as GeekDad63 suggested put some tape on the inside to contain the light

step 8 press the led pcb into the led spacer

step 9 put the led spacer in the case

step 10 put some hot glue in the cups of the turntable to hold it steady

step 11 glue the cable in place
