Hello, all! Like most makers and tinkerers, my work spaces can become overrun with prints, parts, and projects to the point of uselessness. These customizeable bins for Harbor Freight's small and medium parts cases are part of my multi-pronged effort to bring order to that madness. The original model (the BambuLabs Wiper and Cutter organizer seen as the thumbnail) was a result of coming across some excellent work by Distephano (seen here on Reddit). However, when I printed his/her version, I realized there was a lot of volume being taken up by infill that could instead be used for even more storage. The idea of a stackable version of Distephano's model kicked around in my head for a few weeks, then emerged as this idea: customizable bins for the HF case system.

The bins are highly customizable using Onshape's Configuration functionality, allowing for the addition of inner fillets, dividers, stacking/half height bins, and labels. I've uploaded a few examples of these configurations. More specialized bins such as the Bambulab Wiper and Cutter Bin can be made by starting from a bin customized through this interface.

This is an ongoing project of mine, so I expect to be adding more specialized bins as I make them. These will be heavily focused on organizing my BambuLab printer consumables/tools at first, but I'm open to your suggestions. Notes on Customization/Printing:

• To customize your own bin, open the Onshape document above and save a copy of your own to begin editing. An account will be required, but it is free and I highly recommend it for parametric modelling!
• The unit height, width, and length correspond to the smallest bin size, and are configured to fit HF cases by default. However, they could conceivably be altered to fit other cases or organizer schemes. 
• For the HF cases, the large and medium sized bins are just grid layouts of the small bin. The medium bin is simply two small bins in a 1x2 layout, and the large bin is 4 small bins in a 2x2 layout (see below). You don't have to print the same bin as the one you are replacing--you can consolidate or split bins as needed. Due to different width and lengths, though, bins will only fit in set orientations. Keep this in mind when replacing your stock bins!

• Due to the way I've designed stackable bins, the top bin has to be the same size or one size smaller than the bottom bin. Top bins have an angled section that seats into the bottom bin, and stacking large bins on top will be prevented from seating due to the smaller bins' walls. Examples:
  • Large bottom bin, two medium top bins ✓
  • Medium bottom bin with two small top bins ✓
  • Large bottom bin with four small top bins 𐄂 (small bins will fall into large bin)
• Bins default to having feet (except for top bins in stacking configurations). This is similar to the bins which come with the cases, and are useful for preventing bins from sliding within the case. I have printed with standard support settings and have had no issues--no PETG/PLA swapping interface layers needed. The bottom surface may look a little rough, but will be completely invisible once the bins are install. Alternatively, they can be turned off if printing with support is giving you too much trouble--just be aware that bins will be more inclined to sliding/shifting.
