STL QR Code generator

This project lets you design and create customized QR Codes and download them in STL format without the need to download additional tools.

New Features

Stands
There is now an option to include stands in the downloaded file.

3MF format
You can now download the QR codes in the .3mf format. The base will be white, and the top will be black. Currently only the white and black color are supported, other colors are still being worked on. Certain slicers automatically integrate an color change while using this format.

Magnet holes

You can now add holes to fit in round magnets. Simply select the amount of holes (1 to 4), select the diameter and the height of the magnet, and it will generate these holes in the base. After glueing the magnets you can then put the QR code on a fridge or any other metal surface.

How it works

1. go to https://genqrcode.com/generator/stl.
2. Select the type of QR Code (URL, Wifi, etc) and fill in the required data.
3. customize the layout of the QR Code.
4. add text and/or a border.
5. click the download STL button to open the configuration screen.
6. Enter the desired dimensions, and if a base should be added.
7. download the STL file.

Tips

For the best result you should use the default colors, and use the black text above or below it without a border.

For a small to medium sized QR Code, a size of 50mm and a QR Code height of 0.5mm seems to work the best. If you increase the QR Code height too much, it will cast a shade over the white parts, and the result will be hard to scan.

The result without a base should not be printed directly, but should be used to incorporate in other designs.
