Second pass at some skids for the OMP M2 V2. The Initial design was good but the layer directions inherent with FDM printing were prone to splitting. This design separates the parts so the layer directions can be more optimal and the skids more robust. Although the crosses could also double up as the gear mounts I decided to keep them apart for easier changeout. Only four screws to deal with as opposed to eight.

Depending on how you like the finish you may want to print one skid flipped over so it has the same surface as the other when mounted. I also print all the pieces solid but, you can probably shave a gram by adjusting the infill.
