Summary
My son-in-law has arthritis and has been having trouble opening water bottles. The original design looked intriguing, but since it was designed to open soda bottles it was too large to open water bottles. Water bottles typically have diameters from 25 to 27 mm, while soda bottles are typically around 30 mm. I wanted something that could be used for either water or soda bottles. Using the concept from the original design, this remix has a tapered interior (and exterior) shape going from 25 mm at the top to 32 mm at the bottom. I have tested it with soda and water bottles and it seems to work well. I have provided the design with and without the handle. While I have not printed the design without the handle; it is essentially the same as the design with the handle. The design is intended to be printed upside down (with the narrow end on the build plate), as oriented in the STL files. The fin width is 0.8 mm and prints well with a 0.4 mm nozzle.

How I Designed This
As with many things, the design of this was trickier than I expected. I used Fusion 360. My first attempt was to create a top (narrower end) sketch on the X-Y origin plane, then create the bottom sketch offset from the origin plane by 18 mm. I had intended to use the loft tool to create the body, but I was not successful. The loft attempt usually did not complete within a reasonable time (1 hour). The one time it did complete, there were some bizarre artifacts on the fins of the design. I was able to create the outer shell using the loft tool. The sketch had one 0.8 mm fin with a 1 mm extension. I used the loft tool to create the short fin as a separate body and then used the circular pattern tool to replicate the fin about the central axis. I found that 48 fins worked well. I then used the loft tool to create the fin extension, again as a separate body, and then used the circular pattern tool to replicate the extension 12 times. I added the handle to the top sketch and created an offset plane 10 mm above for the bottom of the handle. I used the intersect tool to define the edge of the shell 10 mm away from the top. I then used the loft tool to create the handle using the join option. I combined all the bodies into a single body.
