Lid for the Aquacopter Quadcopter.
Instructions
I wanted the barometer sensor to still work for altitude hold so I made eye holes and used some Gore Tex Repair kit to stick over the eyes. I then used some silicone and put the eye rim's on top of the goretex. This should allow it to breathe but still keep water out.
Printed with support, took ~8 hours on my makerbot replicator 2 for just the lid. I really should re-deisign it somehow to not have support.
Note: I put a hole in the back for a Deans connector. I made a jumper that plugs in there so that i can take my time plugging the batteries in and wiring it all up. If I was to do it again I would move that hole to the left or the right side the front and back end up REALLY crammed on space with the wires coming from the naza. Especially the bulky GPS wire.
So directions.
- Print lid with support
- Print shelves ( far left shelf piece is not needed that was something i was using during prototyping )
- Cutout gore-tex eyes and stick in there. Use silicon or superglue or whatever to stick the eye border/rims on.
- assemble. I used 12 m3x8 button head screws from ace hardware to attach the shelves.
Everything is a real tight fit i had to play with the shelve heights quite a bit.
Mine is setup GPS, Receiver, Naza + naza VU unit... and it just barley fits.
