I have been working on this project for a while and it was recently morphed for a Hackaday Contest . https://hackaday.io/project/9498-pifold This setup uses a PiZero, a lipo battery, an Adadfruit Powerboot and a USB Wifi dongle to do all the things mentioned above. My first take on it was housed in a Tyvek Wallet. It does work great but some have asked for a more secure case to both house it in and to have an opening for easy charging.
I found this fantastic wallet here on Thingiverse, The Planet Mike had already crafted up the very idea I wanted in a pocket sized case even before I knew I wanted it. Much thanks Mike.
The only modification I have made to his stl was to increase the depth of the wallet so it would fit all the parts with a little wiglle room. It still has all the great feature but for some pockets it might be a tight fit. For backpacks, purses, cargo pants and coat jackets it will be a perfect fit.
Once set up you will have an amazing cloud of resources surrounding you, binding you, etc etc etc. Recharge at night for use during the day. I have even included the plans to build up an optional solar panel charging unit.
As time goes on I will be tweaking and updating things to make the set up even better. Enjoy.
