It's a Remix of the RepRap syringe pump (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:536373). It works well on my Prusa i3 printer. This design is 2-piece, lighter and smaller, so it can be mounted on the printer like a FDM extruder.
It takes a lead screw stepper motor, some screws and two 8mm poles to assemble it.
It uses a 5mL syringe as catridge.
When printing with this pump, everything else is the same with FDM settings, except that the "filament diameter" needs to be set as half the diameter of the syringe to start with, then calibrated by print trials. On my printer, it's 5.9mm.
