The original idea behind the design was to turn the lantern into pieces of flame stitched together to form a complete lantern, highlighting the festive atmosphere full of energy and warmth. The red handle contrasts with the base below, adding a sense of lines and movement. When the lantern spins, it creates a dreamy effect that sparks endless imagination, drawing people deeply into the joyful festive mood.

The handle was designed with the new year being the Year of the Snake in mind, so it’s shaped like a snake to add some dynamism to the overall design. The base at the bottom can be attached to add more linear elements.
