The Amazon Basic Microphone is a great deal for good-enough chat and content recording, and the stock desktop stand rejects a surprising amount of desk noise and vibration, but it sits quite high limiting where it can be placed on a desk, this adapter allows you to retain the stock desk stand, but move the mic itself sideways and down towards the base of the stand so it can fit more cleanly under a monitor/TV.
