Lately I've gotten into gardening despite living in an apartment. Irrigation isn't really an option and my peppers need constant watering. These brackets allow me to stack one 2 Gallon bucket onto another and use wicking rope to draw water up into the plant. I added a picture to show how well it worked on a Jalapeño with a 5 gallon bucket reservoir. Eventually your plant will grow roots out onto the cord.
Materials:
2 X 2 Gallon Buckets (any hardware store has these)
2 X Wicking cord ~15" long (I have a ton of polyester "muletape" rope so I used that)
4 X 3D printed brackets (these brackets)
Note on the wicking cord:
You'll need to look up what will work well. I used what I had already. The best way to test your wicking material is to set it vertically and have the bottom sitting in water. After an hour or so check how wet the cord is. For mine it was clearly saturated several inches up the cord.
