The SZG-STD-MOUNT is a mounting frame for connecting a standard SYZYGY peripheral to a SYZYGY-compatible carrier. It provides a secure mechanical connection and proper board-to-board alignment when using SYZYGY hardware on a benchtop.

The mount is designed to fit a standard SYZYGY peripheral with mounting holes located according to Figure 4 in the SYZYGY Specification.

To accommodate the 5 mm base thickness of the mount, the carrier board should include 5 mm standoffs or rubber feet for proper alignment.

There are three versions of the mount:

SZG-STD-MOUNT for heat-set inserts
This includes 4.00 mm diameter holes for adding heat-set threaded inserts such as these M3.0 x 3.0 inserts or M2.5 x 4.0 inserts from CNCKitchen.

SZG-STD-MOUNT for M3.0 screws
All mounting holes are 2.8 mm diameter for self-tapping with M3.0 screws (no heat-set inserts required). This version is compatible with the XEM8320 revision CXX (or later) and most other SYZYGY carriers.

SZG-STD-MOUNT for M2.5 screws
The two carrier mounting holes are 2.3 mm diameter for self-tapping with M2.5 screws. The four peripheral mounting holes are 2.8 mm diameter for self-tapping with M3.0 screws. This version is compatible with the XEM8320 revision BXX.
