A sheet stop for Voron Trident printer.
I've often been frustrated with getting good alighment of the magnetic PEI
print sheet on my Trident. It is especially frustrating when the bed is
quite warm making finger alignment painful.
This sheet stop bolts to the bottom of the beds 2020 aluminum extrusion and
holds a pair of 5mm X 25mm steel dowels against the rear of the bed making
(rear) alignment of the print sheet quite easy. Eyeball alignment of one
edge works well for side alignment. No blister risk to fingers.
Vertical adjustment is provided in the dowel mounts, while front / rear
adjustment is available in the extrusion mounting.
Print this in ABS (or better) with standard Voron print settings:
Layer height: 0.2mm
Extrusion width: 0.4mm, forced
Infill percentage: 40%
Infill type: grid, gyroid, honeycomb, triangle, or cubic
Wall count: 4
Solid top/bottom layers: 5
However, unless you have great bridging you should have supports enabled
for the mounting bolt recessed holes.
Besides the printed parts you will also need two 5mm X 25mm steel dowels, four
M3X4X5 threaded heat set inserts and mating M3 bolts, along with two M5X10 bolts
and two M5 tilt in nuts for the extrusion mounting.
Press fit the dowels into the dowel mounts. Use a vise or gently tap them in
with a hammer.
