My kids are brutal with headphones, they break the hinges on the cheap bluetooth ones all the time. This means that I need to listen to whatever they are when they are on thier tablets... not ideal.
I have tried tape and glue but it just doesnt work for long.
So I have created the headphone hinge plate. It slides over either side of the broken hinge and is clamped on with 4 M3 bolts. I then tend to fill the hinge plate with hot glue to help hold everything together. It works well with most of the cheap generic brands of headphones from amazon.
Hardware requirements:
4 x 25mm M3 Bolts.
