Note: I didn't measure my drains correctly — these turned out to be 150mm², not 250mm². I haven't fully assembled the model, but I did print two pieces to verify they connect together, and they do. Publishing anyway in case anyone needs a 250mm² drain cover.
A 250mm² drain cover designed for a broken outdoor drain. Because my printer maxes out at 210mm², this is designed as a repeatable, interlocking print — multiple pieces connect together to form the full cover.
The chamfered connectors on the male side are very slightly undersized to make fitting with the female side easier. The assembled width is 249.90mm, leaving a small allowance for expansion — though you may want to scale the model down by a couple of percent to guarantee it fits your drain.
Bonus: Works just as well as a rather fetching placemat.
Print settings
Material: PETG recommended for outdoor or high-temperature use
Layer height: 0.25mm draft profile looks and works fine
Perimeters: 3–4, to prevent infill showing through the honeycomb
Textured plate: Flip the model before printing so the chamfered connectors face upward
Your mileage may vary — I haven't fully tested the complete assembled unit.
Yes — I actually use em dashes even though I am a h00man.
