I wanted a laptop riser that I could keep in my bag, but unfortunately all the ones I could find were too thick. As I was trying to learn more about compliant mechanisms and print in place designs, I figured I'd take a crack at making my own. Several prototypes later, and I had these!

Tolerances on the hinges are 0.35mm, which on my printer is plenty to let it move freely while not being overly loose. While the walls and axles are relatively thin, there are 9 of them so pressure is spread out enough I don't think they'll break unless you really try. These were printed in PLA and feel quite sturdy.
