I made my own Corne keyboard, full with oled display, but found the display part way too flimsy, just floating around protected only by a also floating and flimsy acrylic strip.
This is a bumper, it replaces the brass spacers with a single integrated piece that goes around the display and support itself on top of the controller pcb pins, with the acrylic strip just fixed on top of the bumper, never touching the display proper.
Give that my Corne design is using Swiss header pin bars to make both the controller and the oled display detachable, both are way higher than normal from the switch plate. Thus, this STL has a total height of 10mm.
If you need to make it smaller, the provided FreeCAD files had a spreadsheet inside it called “configure” that allow the columns to be resized.
To print both sides, just copy and mirror the model on your splicer software.
Print specs:
- PETg
- 0.4 nozzle
- 0.20 height “Quality” at Prusa Slicer
May have some stringing between both columns.
