Model Description
While researching a laptop stand for my wife, who needed to use her work laptop with a larger monitor at her desk, I came across an original design that seemed promising. However, after attempting to print the parts, I encountered several issues, particularly with tolerances and print quality, especially for the tubes. I had to reprint several components and ultimately decided to redraw the tubes as square shapes with chamfers to address these problems.
I attribute the initial issues to operator error on my part, but I also found that the basic tubes were too short, and the extended ones, when glued together, didn't have the aesthetic I was aiming for.
To improve the design, I incorporated an idea suggested by @ChopcatSuey_803149 to use M8 30mm round dome hex bolts, as I encountered similar tolerance and printing issues with the original printed bolts.
Using Fusion 360, I completely redrew the design, excluding the printed screws. If you're interested in those, @ChopcatSuey_803149 has a remixed version available here: Easier to Print Bolt Design for the AdjustoStand.
