If you're from Cruzerlite I just want to say that this is an homage to your wonderful Bugdroid Circuit line, and it is BASED on your design but IS NOT a 1:1 copy and has various differences. That being said, if you want to hire me I'd be more than happy to work with you!
I've always loved Cruzerlite's bugdroid circuit cases, and was genuinely sad when I found out they were discontinued.
Now that I have some 3D modelling skills, I wanted to see if I could take that iconic visual and make one for my new Google Pixel 10.
Google has been touting their new G5 Tensor chipset and I implemented a variation of the logo on bugdroid's chest.
This case is designed for multimaterial, and in the pic I used sky blue PLA+ and black TPU. It would be more heat resistant using TPU for both but PLA+ with 3 layers of .2 each is still perfectly flexible enough for a phone case. The design is inlaid .05mm into the phone case so you shouldn't run into any issues unless you're using .1mm layers or smaller (and for this you definitely don't need to go that fine, the larger the layers the better the grip will be)
I designed the lines of the inlay to be multiples of .8mm, since that's the nozzle I have on it. .4mm would work just fine but a .6 nozzle might look weird.
Settings for the print:
- 220c temp, 60c bed (PLA+ adhesion, if you're doing TPU/ TPU you can do 30 bed temp)
- .8mm nozzle, .2mm layers
- Generic black TPU/ Elegoo sky blue PLA+
- 30mm/s speed for everything
- No supports
- NO FAN
The no fan is very important. Any amount of fan during bridging and you'll get curlies or the model will start to curl up
