I used the original cable that came with the controller. Using other cables may or may not work. Excess cable can be tucked into the cavity behind the controller.

Supports are only needed for the keyholes, the rest of the model should print fine without them.

The template makes mounting a lot easier, no measuring required. Screw the template to the wall, slide it off, slide on the controller mount. If desired, the other hole can then be used to screw it down so it will not slide off anymore.
