This is a beta ZF fork guard.

NO NEED TO DISASSEMBLE THE FORK.

all you need to do is remove the metal clip, install this part (it has a special "ring" that goes into the groove) and put back the metal clip on top of the protector in the specific designed groove.
you can also use a zip tie to keep it in place.
