Looking to raise your handlebars a bit for a more relaxed upright riding position? This simple 3D-printed ring lets you increase your handlebar height by up to 30mm. This is the maximum possible. Important: You need to replace the screw by a 30mm longer model. Available at DIY stores.
Assembly
1. Put your bike on a stand (or lean it against something sturdy).
2. Pop off the rubber cap on top of your handlebars and unscrew the headset bolt completely.
3. Loosen the two side screws on the handlebars and carefully lift the bars off—just place them to the side.
4. Slide the riser ring over the fork pin and place the handlebars back. If it won't slide because its too tight, use a bit of oil + hammer and screwdriver to get it into position.
5. Insert the included stainless steel screw and gently tighten it—just enough so there’s no play in the steering. The handlebars should still turn smoothly, just like before.
6. Align the handlebars with your front wheel (hold it between your legs for stability) and re-tighten the two side screws. Again—no brute force, just snug.
Disclaimer:
Use of this handlebar riser is entirely at your own risk. Always check the stability before riding and if you’re unsure about installation, visit a professional bike shop.
