Tetris 3D

This game is a mix of Jenga and Tetris with it’s own spin. Different shaped blocks must be stacked within the supplied base as high (or wide) as possible without the structure falling.

Print Configuration

·         Works best to print multiple of each piece. It is recommended that at least 4 of each piece be printed. For more players or more advanced players, print more as needed.

·         15% infill is recommended. If you would like to save some material and time, 10% infill seems to work just fine. Keep in mind the less material used will make the pieces lighter and thus may not stack as well. Keep a consistent infill for all pieces in a single game set.

·         I suggest printing each piece separately but you may print multiples.

·         Supports will be needed for the ZigZag piece. All other prints should print without supports.

·         Pieces may be printed in different colors to help differentiate the types. This is not required but may help in creating your structures. Do whatever you prefer.

·         You may scale the models to print the game smaller or larger. A smaller size may be useful for To-Go play. Larger sizes for MEGA Tetris.

How to Play

This game may be played with 1-4 players. The goal is to create a tower as tall and wide as possible without knocking the tower down. Players take turns rolling the die. The shape displayed on the top of the rolled die must be placed on the tower. If the tower falls, the game is over.

Rules

1.      The towers base must be contained within the base. No piece shall touch any surface outside of the base.

2.      If a player rolls “SKIP”. Their turn is skipped and the next player shall roll the die.

3.      Each player must place their rolled piece onto the tower or within the base, so as not to knock the tower over.

4.      If a player adds a piece and any piece falls or touches a surface outside of the base, that player loses and the game is over.

5.      The towers integrity changes to the next player once the die is rolled.

Alternate Play Styles

·         Add in a timer for each player. Giving each player 1:00min creates a rush to add a piece and makes the game more volatile.

·         Play like Jenga – Build a tower however you want. Each player takes turns removing a piece and adding it to another position. First to topple loses.
