I got a bunch of these 6.5qt hdx bins on sale a while back and found myself throwing all sorts of things in them. That was great to get everything off my desk and seem a little more organized, but then it was more of a pain to find the parts I needed since they were all mixed together. I'm still not much of a 3d designer, but I like gridfinity and figured that would help my issue. I didnt see anything like this for these bins so I decided to give it a go and this is what I ended up with after a few hours in fusion360 and a good few test prints (mb too many test prints haha).
For now, each section is printed in one piece. I printed these on my centauri carbon and they fit and printed pretty well, but this might not fit on smaller printers. Each section should be solid enough to hold quite a bit and can fit gridfinity bins up to 5u in height. There is a small gap between the top of a 5u gridfinity bin and the bottom of the next layer, but as long as you're not shaking your hdx bins like crazy things should stay in place haha.
There should be a bottom, middle, and top section. You should print at least the bottom and I'drecommend printing all three, but feel free to do whatever you want and let me know how it goes haha. Each section has a 5x3 grid for any gridfinity container you might want that is 5u or less.
I'm not sure how many different types of these bins there might be, but if you run into any issues please feel free to let me know and I'd be happy to try and add new files :)
