This is an improved version of my first desktop headphone hook. While the overall design remains mostly unchanged, the structure has been thickened and reinforced at critical points to significantly increase strength and durability over time.

This updated version includes five screws:

2x M4 screws, 40 mm long, with matching nuts

3x M3 screws: one is 18 mm long (rear), and the other two are 30 mm long, with a nut used for the 18 mm screw

As shown in the photos, the screws may not look aesthetically pleasing at first glance, but they were added to greatly enhance structural stability and long-term resistance to flexing. The presence of metal parts helps distribute stress more evenly, reducing weak spots and preventing deformation over time.

One of the main issues with the first version—fully 3D-printed with no screws—was that the material would flex under constant load, especially after many hours with the headphones resting in the same position. In this revision, I also redesigned the bottom stop, improving both its shape and the positioning and length of the screw.

Thanks to suggestions from those who tried the first version, I’ve extended the headphone rest to 35 mm — it should now comfortably fit pretty much any headset.

The entire model was printed in standard PLA (no technical or reinforced materials), yet the overall mechanical performance is significantly better than the original.

The main goal of this redesign wasn't just to increase strength, but more importantly to ensure long-term resistance to mechanical flexing, so that no part of the stand bends or deteriorates over time due to the force applied by the screw or the weight of the headphones.

M3 x 18 mm → rear screw, with nut (length includes the head)

2x M3 x 30 mm → reinforcement screws, directly screwed in and embedded into the printed part (length includes the head)

2x M4 x 40 mm → main structural screws, with nuts (length includes the head)
