The Python script used to create these vases is open source at mp3-to-stl – all the details are there.

It converts your audio’s waveform into geometry, wrapping it around 360° to form the vase’s curves. Louder parts of the track make wider sections, quieter parts make slimmer ones.

• Supports: none
• Infill: 0%
• Perimeters: 3–4
• Top layers: 0 mm
• Bottom layers: same as bottom padding (i.e. match your chosen base thickness)
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Material: PLA or PETG
• Spiral vase mode: off (needed for >1 perimeter)

🪴 Tips

• Makes a perfect gift
• Great as a decorative vase, lampshade, or desk piece
• Not watertight unless sealed
• Songs with strong dynamics create the most interesting shapes
