This is a patch panel used to clean up the cabling on my test bench used for audio and video servicing. By bringing out all of the A/V connections to the patch panel, I can simply plug the device I am servicing into the patch panel for testing. I can quickly connect to a monitor, ethernet, amplifier, speakers, etc...
I bult this to mount on a 3/4" shelf. Just screw the bracket into the shelf. I also created cable hooks to be mounted on the back of the shelf to keep the cables from drooping under the shelf.
For each panel needed, print:
1 - Keystone 2x6 panel
1 - Keystone Hook
2 - Keystone Bracket
Glue each hook and panel to the corresponding brackets. Mount panel to the front of the shelf and the hooks on the back of the shelf.
For printing I used tree supports. It required a little scraping and cleanup in the bracket slot and the holes of the panel to remove the imperfections from the supports, but the keystones fit perfectly.
Some of the keystone connectors I am using:
HDMI
RCA Audio Jack
Miniature stereo
Speaker connector
Ethernet
F connector
For the keystone with switches (Used to switch speakers between Amp and jacks), i just drilled and mounted mini switches in keystone blanks.
