Button Box
This DIY button box is made for sim racing but can easily be used for flight sims, too. The functions and the wiring are strongly inspired by the Youtuber "amstudio". In his video he explains the wiring and flashing of the Arduino.
However, I completely built a new case from scratch to suit my preferences.
Functions:
4 big toggle switches in the upper row
Can be used for engine starter, windscreen wipers, headlights, etc.12 button switches in the middle
Multipurpose buttons for MFD, chat, pit stop, etc.4 rotary switches with push button function
Can be used for motor mapping, ABS, traction control, etc.VESA 100 mounting holes at the back of the box
Additional info:
I used a carbon fiber optic built plate instead of foil to get the carbon look on the front panel.
Printed with PLA as I will only use it indoors and the electronic doesn't get hot inside.
BOM:
6x M3x6mm button head screws
6x M3 heated inserts (+4 if you use VESA)
USB-C to USB-A cable
12x button switches
4x rotary encoders
4x toggle switches
Arduino Pro Micro (USB-C)
cables for wiring
