There is one question that everyone who is running some kind of home automation, but who doesn't fancy streaming a view from their front door to some big server somewhere, is asking? Where are all the Zigbee doorbells at? After failing to find some kind of weatherproof zigbee button that I could mount outside, instead I made this one.

It's designed around a Sonoff ‘Zigbee Wireless Switch’ model SNZB-01P, which seem affordable enough and widely available. The button cover and washer are printed in flexible filament to create a weatherproof seal. It's not entirely watertight but should be good enough to keep the rain out. You'll need two m3x10 screws to fix the front on, and there are holes for wood screws at the back so you can fix it to your wall (or you can use sticky pads like I did)

Print without support, 0.2mm layer height. There are single-layer bridges across the screw holes on the top so supports aren't needed where the hole shrinks, you should have no trouble pushing the screws right through them. There is a groove to fit the washer into, and the button cover should pop nicely into a recess in the top (with the wider side point outside). The holes for the m3 screws should be tight enough for them to cut a thread into, which is enough to hold mine together snugly.  

Just to repeat, I can't guarantee this will keep your button safe :) I've got mine mounted outside, so I'll report back if at any point it fails.
