Description
This replacement decorative switch faceplate also serves as a shelf/holder for many items. So far I've only designed a holder for the HomePod Mini, but I have plans to make a mount for a Google Home Mini as well.
Why
I looked at my nightstand and realized it needed to be cleaned. I figured the easiest thing to relocate would be the HomePod Mini, but I still wanted it next to my bed. While looking around I realized I also have a Google Home Mini in the kitchen counter, right under a light switch, taking up some space. That gave me the idea for a modular switch mount.

My Print settings (Ender 3 S1 Pro):
- Infill: 15%
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Material: PLA
- Nozzle Temp: 200 C
- Bed Temp: 60 C

Print Notes
Faceplate
For the faceplate, I would recommend printing it with the ‘outside’ down. This reduces the amount of support you need to print. Currently, printing this requires two 5.7mm x 2.4mm cylinder custom support pieces under the countersinks for the screws. These can be easily added in your slicer of choice. If anybody knows of a solution to this that doesn't require supports please let me know in a comment and I'll update the model.
HomePod Mini Mount
Print with the ‘wall side’ down. Automatic supports will work, they should show up under the wire channel. You may/should be able to print this without them but I haven't tried.
Making your own mount
If you want to make your own mount, here are the dimensions you should use for the part of your mount that will fit into the faceplate.

These examples are from the top section of the HomePod mini mount. This area is extruded to be 2.8mm tall.
